Legislative Affairs Committee
Mission

To facilitate the gathering and dissemination of information relating to issues resulting from the actions and deliberations of public and government institutions and to make recommendations for

Chamber action and/or advocacy related to these issues.

Plan of Work
  • Become informed and subsequently inform the membership on the business implications of matters related to, but not limited to:  Fort Huachuca, West End development, Water, Education, Taxes, Medical Infrastructure and Elections.
  • Fine tune lobbying efforts.
  • Keep a general focus on matters concerning the continued viability of Fort Huachuca as we involve the committee in issues relative to the general business climate.
  • Much of what the LAC deals with is event or issue driven.  Thus, it is likely as events unfold that this list will undergo modification.  Likewise, emphasis will vary from time to time as various groups or institutions work to resolve issues or by direction of the Chamber Board of Directors.
