Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer

The RF Test Engineer will support the High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency (VHF), and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Radio Test Facility developing RF Test procedures and performing conformance standards testing on various HF, VHF, and UHF radios and systems.
 
Responsibilities to include:

Required:
In-depth knowledge of various modulation techniques to include AM, FM, FSK, and PSK.

Candidates must be able to perform basic spectrum analyzer measurements such as channel power, adjacent channel power, occupied bandwidth, carrier to noise ratio, harmonic distortion, and inter-modulation distortion.
Candidates should also be able to perform test measurements to include impedance, VSWR, sensitivity, SINAD, and other related signal and noise measurements.

Help Desk Service Support Specialist – Associate

Helpdesk Support Specialist position is the first line of support for our local and remote customers. Responsibilities include handling incoming telephone calls, email communications, and assisting users with a variety of hardware and software related issues. Applicants must be proficient with the Windows desktop environment, to include MS Office products and Windows Vista operating system. Tickets are created and either resolved by the Helpdesk Support Specialist, in accordance with the documented procedures, or escalated for resolution. As a VMware System administrator you will provide tier 2 support for all users of the VM environment. Build, configure and administrate within an Enterprise VM infrastructure. Perform on call duty when scheduled; ensure IAVA and STIG compliance through various automated scans and manual checks. Interface with customer and vendors for service and troubleshooting. Perform activities within a team structure.

DUTIES: (Describe responsibilities and daily activities of the position)
– Daily log checks on assigned systems to monitor the status and the state of the servers
– Install, configure, and administer systems and troubleshoot issues as needed
– Provide network technical support
– Update VMS with relevant information pertaining to IAVAs
– Collect statistics for all ESX hosts on a monthly basis.
– Coordinate with other CTNOSC teams on issues relating to VMware.
– Perform IAVA vulnerability scans using DISA Gold Disk and Retina scanning software
– Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
– BS in computer science or related filed and 2+ years of relevant experience
– Hands on experience on with VMware application in an Enterprise environment
– Hands on experience on with VMware View desktop application in an Enterprise environment
– Performing restores and back-ups
– 2-4+ years experience in the administration of large VMware implementations, including the use of HA, DRS, templates, cloning, and consolidation.
– Experience with VMware View Desktop administration
– Experience with SAN, NAS, and iSCSI storage allocation to ESX clusters, troubleshooting RDM in virtual machines.
– Knowledge of Windows Active Directory services
– Knowledge of UNIX systems
– Knowledge of DISA STIGs, IAVAs
– Proficient with TCP/IP network protocols
– Knowledge of scripting languages a plus

Non-Technical Skills:
– Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms with users and office staff
– Work independently and as a team member; set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
– Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with
– Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
– Currently has Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance

WORKING CONDITIONS:
– Cubicle-based IT operations in a secure government building, with DoD civilian, military and contractor oversight
