***Winter Storm Warning until Noon MST Saturday above 5000 feet***
***Wind Advisory from 8 pm this evening to 8 am MST Saturday***
The strongest winter storm this season will impact southeast Arizona through Saturday morning. Expect moderate to locally heavy valley rain and mountain snow mainly this afternoon into Saturday morning. Very strong and gusty winds of 20-35 MPH in valleys with gusts of 50-60 MPH will also occur, especially tonight causing blizzard-like conditions across the mountains. Areas above 7000 feet will see anywhere from 12" to 36" of snow, depending on location. Snow levels could drop as low as 4000 feet Saturday morning, though most of the accumulating snow will remain above 5000 feet. Meanwhile, valley rain totals of 0.5" to 1.50" should occur.

Proud to be located next to Fort Huachuca Army Installation, The Sierra Vista Chamber is located 70 miles south of Tucson and 15 miles west of Tombstone and 13 miles north of Bisbee. We are a community that has experienced significant growth over the past few years and the City of Sierra Vista is planning for continued development. With a growing economy, state of the art medical facilities, and an excellent school system, Sierra Vista has gained not only statewide, but national recognition and attracts the interest of many.
